About

This qualification is delivered by LTT Group Pty Ltd (RTO 51621) and reflects the role of pathology assistants and specimen reception staff in laboratories.


Duration

  • Approximately 12-24 months

Our training is competency based, and qualifications can be completed at a pace that suits the organisation and the individual. Training is delivered on-site in the workplace. Recognition of prior learning (RPL) and credit transfer processes are available for eligible students.

For students eligible for government support

This qualification is funded by the Tasmanian Government for students who meet the eligibility criteria under the Skills Tasmania User Choice program (for traineeship delivery).

  • $4,860 - fee for service student tuition fee

  • HLTPAT006 Receive, prepare and dispatch pathology specimens

  • HLTWHS001 Participate in workplace health and safety
